The Water Lilies painted by French Impressionist Claude Monet is a series of paintings of water lilies, made near the pond in the garden of his studio in Giverny. Monet had admired the Asian water lilies at the 1889 World's Fair and they inspired him to create a series of eponymous paintings.
Monet made many different versions of these works and painted eighteen different water lily paintings between 1899-1900 alone.
This instalment of Water Lilies represents a return to his earlier, bolder style of brushwork. Money used spots of brighter colour to accentuate certain areas of the composition, which is dissimilar to some of his other work with a more subtle use of colour.

Items Lost or Damaged in Transit
Please contact us by email or calling in the event your shipment is lost or damaged. In the event of visible damage, please keep all packaging material. Stevenson’s will provide tracking numbers for all shipments and is not responsible for items not received that the tracking shows as having been delivered.
